No Offers From The Universities You Picked? Welcome To Ucas Extra

If you’ve applied for university through UCAS but have not received any offers, there’s no need to panic. You can still search for available courses using UCAS Extra, which remains open until early July.

To be eligible for UCAS Extra, you must have already applied for five courses and either received rejections from all of them or chosen not to accept any offers. However, it’s important to think carefully before declining an offer as you will not be able to go back to accept your original choice later.

If you are eligible, you should see an option to apply for a course through UCAS Extra on your Track screen. Use the course search function to find available courses, which will be marked with an "X". Contact the admissions office for the relevant course to confirm if they would consider your application.

Choose your course wisely, taking time to research and seek advice from teachers, career advisors, and university admissions offices. Consider courses that match your expected grades and think beyond your initial choices.

It’s also worth noting that the university you apply for through UCAS Extra will be able to see your initial five choices.

Once you choose a course, add the details to Track and wait for the university or college to review your application. You can only add one course at a time and cannot change it for 21 days.

If you receive an offer, you will have a set timeframe to accept or decline it. If you accept, you are committed and cannot apply elsewhere. If you decline or do not receive an offer, you can continue to apply for other courses through UCAS Extra or consider Clearing, which starts in mid-July.

Remember to take your time and consider all options carefully before making any decisions.
